Upon arrival in Maun, you will be met and assisted with your scheduled light aircraft transfer to the exclusive Deception Valley Lodge. Located within a 15,000-hectare private reserve bordering the vast Central Kalahari Game Reserve, this luxurious lodge is your gateway to the desert. Settle into your spacious, private suite before enjoying an evening dinner and relaxing under the magnificent Kalahari stars.
Start your day with an immersive San Bushmen Tracking Botswana experience. Local guides, who grew up in the Kalahari, will teach you ancient survival skills, including how to track wildlife and identify edible and medicinal plants in the harsh desert environment. Later, embark on an exhilarating afternoon game drive through the Kalahari sands. The private concession allows your expert guide to track off-road, searching for desert-adapted species and elusive predators like the black-maned lion.
