This 21-day safari adventure takes you through some of Southern Africa’s most iconic and stunning destinations. Begin with the awe-inspiring Victoria Falls, followed by exciting wildlife encounters in Chobe National Park and Hwange National Park. Explore the hidden gems of Makgadikgadi Pans and Matobo National Park, with unique activities like rhino tracking, cave paintings tours, and visits to ancient ruins. End your journey with the historic Great Zimbabwe and vibrant Harare. This tour combines the best of nature, wildlife, culture, and history, offering an experience of a lifetime.
Day 1 - 3: Maun - Gateway to the Okavango Delta
Arrive in Maun, Botswana’s safari hub, and enjoy a relaxing evening at Maun Lodge after a short transfer from the airport. The next morning, set out on an early game drive to catch wildlife in the soft light of dawn. On day three, explore the Okavango Delta with a serene mokoro canoe trip, gliding through its peaceful waterways and observing nature up close. Each day in Maun promises unforgettable experiences and stunning sights.
Day 4 - 5: Makgadikgadi Pans National Park
Fly over the Okavango Delta before transferring to Planet Baobab. After settling in, enjoy a Baobab Bush Walk to explore the unique landscapes. On day five, take a half-day Ntwetwe Pan Expedition, with a picnic breakfast and a visit to the fascinating meerkats. Stay overnight at Planet Baobab, soaking in the serene beauty of Makgadikgadi.
Day 6: Nata
Today, travel to Nata, a bustling town at the crossroads of Maun, Kasane, and Francistown. After a 2-3 hour road transfer from Planet Baobab, arrive at Elephant Sands Lodge. In the afternoon, enjoy a thrilling game drive at the lodge, where you can spot wildlife, including the majestic elephants that frequent the area.
Day 7 - 8: Chobe National Park
Experience the best of wildlife in Chobe National Park. After a 2-3 hour transfer to Cresta Mowana Safari Resort & Spa, enjoy an afternoon safari boat cruise on the Chobe River. On day eight, take an early game drive, followed by lunch at Chobe Safari Lodge, and another exciting afternoon game drive. Return to Cresta Mowana for a relaxing evening.
Day 9 - 11: Victoria Falls
Transfer to PheZulu Guest Lodge and enjoy an afternoon of rhino tracking followed by a sunset cruise on the Zambezi. The next day, embark on an early game drive, a helicopter flight over Victoria Falls, and a guided tour of the Falls. Lunch at Lookout Café or Three Monkeys, then enjoy a Boma dinner & drumming show. On day 11, go rhino tracking again and relax with a sundowner before returning to Bayete Guest Lodge for the night.
Day 12 - 13: Hwange National Park
Travel to Hwange National Park, a true wildlife haven. After a 2-3 hour transfer to the airport, settle in and prepare for an afternoon rhino tracking adventure.
On day 13, enjoy a full day game drive through the park, where you'll encounter Hwange's incredible wildlife in their natural habitat. Return to Iganyana Tented Camp for a comfortable evening under the stars.
Day 14 - 16: Matobo National Park
Explore the hidden gem of Matobo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. After a 2-3 hour transfer to the airport, settle in and get ready for an afternoon rhino tracking adventure.
On day 15, experience the park’s ancient history with a cave paintings tour, followed by a visit to the grave of Cecil Rhodes, the final resting place of this controversial figure.
On day 16, discover the Khami Ruins, dating back to the 14th century, and admire its unique decorative walls and small museum. Return to Matobo Hills Lodge each night for a restful stay.
Day 17 - 18: Great Zimbabwe
Journey to the ancient Great Zimbabwe, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Africa’s most impressive archaeological landmarks. After a 5-6 hour road transfer to Great Zimbabwe Hotel, explore the fascinating Great Zimbabwe ruins on a guided tour, discovering the rich history of this stone-built city. Spend the night at the Great Zimbabwe Hotel, soaking in the history and grandeur of this remarkable site.
Day 19 - 20: Harare
Experience the vibrant energy of Harare, Zimbabwe’s bustling capital. After a 5-6 hour road transfer to Cresta Lodge Harare, dive into the city's culture with an Art Gallery tour and a fun souvenir shopping tour in Avondale.
On day 20, explore the stunning Chinhoyi Caves, marveling at their unique limestone formations. Return to Cresta Lodge Harare for a comfortable stay, reflecting on your rich journey through Zimbabwe.
Day 21: Farewell
As your incredible safari comes to an end, we hope you've had an unforgettable journey through Zimbabwe's natural wonders. We wish you safe travels and look forward to welcoming you back in the future. This morning, we’ll transfer you to the airport for your departure (about 45 minutes).
