Day One: Arrival at Oddballs’ Enclave

Arrive in Maun, where a representative from Delta Air will assist you with your light aircraft transfer to Oddballs’ Enclave. Situated on a small island off the southwestern edge of Chief’s Island in the heart of the Okavango Delta, this exclusive camp is only accessible by air. Upon arrival, you will be met by your private guide, who will accompany you for the duration of your stay.

Oddballs’ Enclave offers a maximum of 10 guests in five comfortable mini-Meru tents, each set on elevated wooden decks with a private bathroom and al fresco bucket shower. The camp’s central area includes a raised viewing deck, perfect for taking in the stunning Delta vistas, while enjoying delicious meals prepared with local flavors.

Enjoy your first evening at the camp, soaking in the peaceful surroundings and watching the wildlife on the floodplains.

Day Two: Exploring Oddballs’ Enclave

After breakfast, embark on a guided walking safari through the Okavango Delta. Your private guide, a local expert with intimate knowledge of the area, will lead you through the landscape, explaining the rich ecosystem and pointing out both big and small wildlife.

Later, take a mokoro ride, the traditional dug-out canoe, through the winding channels of the Delta. Glide silently through the waters, observing the rich birdlife and potential sightings of elephants, hippos, and other animals that call the Delta home.

Your guide will lead you on another walk to explore nearby islands, offering another opportunity to learn about the flora and fauna of this pristine wilderness. Picnic lunches can be arranged to allow you to stay out and immerse yourself in the Delta for the entire day.

Day Three: Transfer to Camp Savuti & Savuti Marsh Exploration

After a morning activity and breakfast, you will be transferred back to Maun for your flight to Camp Savuti, located in the Savuti Marsh area of Chobe National Park.

Camp Savuti is nestled in the heart of a private concession and offers exceptional wildlife experiences in one of Botswana’s most renowned game-viewing areas. The camp provides luxury tents, each with its own private en-suite bathroom and stunning views of the surrounding wilderness.

In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive in the Savuti Marsh, home to an incredible concentration of wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, and an array of bird species. The landscape here is equally breathtaking, with vast grasslands, waterholes, and marshes attracting an array of wildlife.

Day Four: Full Day in Savuti

Today, enjoy a full-day safari in the Savuti Marsh, exploring the diverse habitats within the region. Known for its dramatic seasonal changes, Savuti offers fantastic opportunities for wildlife sightings, including the iconic predators of the region.

The Savuti Channel is particularly famous for its abundance of elephants, and you may have the chance to see these magnificent animals up close as they gather around waterholes. Look out for lions hunting and other wildlife species as your guide leads you through this spectacular area.

Lunch will be served in the bush, giving you the chance to immerse yourself in the beauty of the African wilderness.

Day Five: Departure

After your morning game drive, you will be transferred to Maun for your onward journey or flight home, taking with you unforgettable memories of the Okavango Delta and the Savuti Marsh.
